Plywood

AllianceGP > Plywood

Thanks to its light weight and high strength, plywood has been a staple in the Canadian construction and home improvement industries for decades. Multiple cross-laminated sheets of wood veneer provide for superior stiffness, a high strength-to-weight ratio, and great dimensional stability. It is available in a wide selection of appearance grades and thicknesses and is used in a variety of structural and functional applications ranging from roof, wall, and floor sheathing to cabinetry and furniture.

Douglas Fir Plywood (DFP; CSA O151 standard) and Canadian Softwood Plywood (CSP; CSA O153 standard) are the most common types of softwood plywood produced and used in construction applications across Canada.
